The soccer season kicks off with an away game on Thursday, August 7, against Model at 6:00.

RCHS Class of 2025 Graduates can now pick up their diploma packets in the school's front office. We are open 9-2 Monday through Friday! In some cases, these packets contain cards, certificates, and even forgotten items. Make sure to pick those up.

Graduates, if you still have your cap and gown, please consider donating it to our Youth Service Center. If you wish to donate your cap and gown, just bring it by the high school front office.

Any student who will be taking a dual credit course this fall needs to contact Ms. Angie Bussell to schedule their orientation time. They will receive their Chromebook and review information vital to their success in the course(s). Please refer to the graphic for dates and times.
An email was sent from Ms. Bussell--students can schedule by replying to that email. If a student cannot access their email, they can call the high school and request to speak with Ms. Bussell: 606-256-4816.

Ms. Sandy Alexander in our front office has had several phone calls regarding NEW enrollees. We are excited to welcome new Rockets to our school community and pleased to let parents and guardians know that our guidance counselors will be in the building on regular schedule beginning Monday, August 5. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OUR DUAL CREDIT STUDENTS!

Dual credit courses (EKU, SCC, KSU) begin on Monday, August 18. To help students prepare, RCHS Dual Credit Navigator Angie Bussell has scheduled dual credit orientation days at RCHS beginning August 4. In addition to valuable information, students will get their Chromebooks and confirm their dual credit course schedule.

If you are a dual credit student, it is very important that you check your school email for a communication from Ms. Bussell sent on July 22. Respond to the email with a date/time you can complete your dual credit orientation at RCHS. Dates and times are listed in the graphic below as well as the email!

As of July 18, anyone can now register to take the October ACT at RCHS! Students can test on Saturday, October 18. Students unable to test on Saturday can register for SUNDAY testing. Students can also choose between paper or computer testing--both are available!

The Saturday exam is eligible for MyAnswerKey, formerly known as Test Information Release.

We do still have waivers available for juniors and seniors that cover the regular registration cost. These waivers expire August 31. Those interested can email Mrs. Susan Norton-Casey at susan.norton@rockcastle.kyschools.us.

Please note that the number of waivers is limited.

Students still have time to register for the September 6th ACT! Students can choose paper or online testing, and fee waivers are still available for juniors and seniors. Seats are available at several nearby testing centers and can be found by logging into personal MyACT accounts. As we begin July, there are some important reminders for our students:
1. The Class of 2025 can pick up their diploma/graduation packets in the front office beginning Monday, August 4.
2. Anyone taking the ACT this Saturday (July 12) who needs to borrow a calculator should email Mrs. Susan Norton-Casey at susan.norton@rockcastle.kyschools.us to make arrangements for pickup.
3. For other needs/questions, the front office is open daily from 9:00-2:00.

2025 AP Exam scores are available starting today. Students can access their scores via their College Board account.

KHSAA Dead Period: June 25 (12:01 AM) – July 9 (11:59 PM) The KHSAA Dead Period is a mandatory two-week break each summer, established by the Kentucky High School Athletic Association. It applies to all middle and high school sports and activities. During the Dead Period: • Coaches and student-athletes may not have any contact in any form. • No practices, workouts, or team meetings—formal or informal—are allowed. • School facilities, equipment, and uniforms may not be used for athletic purposes. • Fundraisers, team camps, open gyms, and conditioning sessions are not permitted. • No team travel or group athletic activities of any kind. Enjoy your well-deserved break!

Today, June 24, is the last day to register for July's ACT date! A late fee does apply. The next ACT opportunity will be in September.

We are excited to announce that RCHS is now an approved SAT Weekend Test Center! This is in addition to our ACT offerings. Students now have access to more options as they plan for life after high school.

Rockcastle High School will offer Summer School from June 3–12, 2025. Students can earn up to 2 credits by attending the following sessions: Session 1: June 3–6 Session 2: June 9–12 Transportation is NOT provided, but breakfast and lunch will be served.
