The MVES Archery Team ended the season with a fantastic banquet sponsored by the coaches and parents. A special thanks for members of the RCHS Honors club for the decorations and hard work on the picture video, and a special thank you to all parents for providing food, helping with preparation, clean up, and so forth. Due to the huge interest in our Family Fishing Night hosted by the Rockcastle PRI Coordinators, we are excited to offer THREE separate dates for families from each school!
Location: Lake Linville
Registration table will be set up near the bait shop. Families can stop by to sign in, receive a registration bracelet, water, bait, or even a fishing pole!

Mrs. Becky brought science to life in 4th grade today by dissecting a cow eyeball to help students review the parts of the eye!

Ms. Kim and Mrs. Michaela’s classes were entertained by the Allegro Dance Project today! Students had a blast learning about and experiencing some of the tools and equipment DJs use to create music and keep the crowd moving. What a fun and interactive experience for our Mustangs!

The Mustang Archery Team took on Eastern Nationals with absolute ferocity! They AGAIN bested their season high score, earning a score of 2,837 out of a possible 3,600 points, placing in the top 100 of all competing elementary schools!
The Mustangs were led by Chloe Tankersley, who shot a 255- this was Chloe’s personal best and the team’s highest individual score this season! Chloe also placed in the top 40 of all fourth grade girls! Congratulations Chloe!
Cace McClure led the Mustang boys, earning a personal best of 249!
Destiny Reynolds (245- personal best), RG Smith (244- personal best), Kinley Hunt (243), Dexton May (240-personal best), Jason Doan (237-personal best), Emmett Rigsby (232-personal best), Kholer Carpenter (230), Joseph Fields (223-personal best), and Claire Morrison (220-personal best) showed amazing leadership and teamwork in this milestone for our team. Liam Renner also earned an honorable mention for earning his personal best of 211 at this competition.
Our Mustang Archers have SO MUCH to be proud of this season. Their growth, maturity, sportsmanship, and dedication has shone brightly in each match this season!

Mrs. Jennifer’s and Mrs. Kali’s third grade classes celebrated their growth on the I-Ready Diagnostic with a trip to the Snack Shack.










A third grade student from Mr. Cam Brown’s class, Elijah, cashed in his Dojo points for the chance to read to a class—and chose Mrs. Shepherd’s first grade class where his brother, Parker, is a student! He did an incredible job reading and was a wonderful role model for our Mustangs!
